One of mine and my wife's favourite couples activity was to browse r/aww. With the Reddit shenanigans still happening, does anyone know of anything to replace this?
"Reddit is a Dying Mall" (by me!)
I predict that what will happen to #Reddit is the same thing that is happening to Twitter and has already happened to Facebook and frankly, actual shopping malls. The business side of things will churn along divorced from the content which will become ever more generic and culturally irrelevant.
Attempting to add a personal API key to Apollo. We'll see if this works, and we'll see if it still works on July 1st…
I've been working on subscribing to a bunch more #Lemmy communities. This Lemmy Explorer tool is super helpful in finding communities for any topic!

Edit: You can also use it for #Kbin since they’re both a part of the fediverse.
Lots of people are sticking around Reddit for now, but the shit hasn't actually hit the fan yet.
The site will die once all third party apps officially cease operation on the 30th as the official Reddit app is crappy as hell.
Many people enjoy Reddit for its NSFW content. But it's only a matter of time before they crack down on that.
No boobs and a shitty mobile experience? Forget about it.
Watching all these users in the #RedditMigration moving to open platforms like @LemmyDev and #kbin gives me optimism for the future of internet-based communication. Open source social media enables constructive speech in a way that for-profit media cannot. In the future people can have the option between distracting memes and drama, or purpose built spaces that don't try to trap their own users.
I've expressed my thoughts on the overall movement here:

If you are leaving #Reddit these tools will allow you to scrub all your posts and comments so Reddit can’t mine them for whatever:
