Happy Birthday Marines! This birthday is a little bitter sweet for me as this is my last one on Active Duty. Yes, Once a Marine, Always a Marine… Nov 10th will always hold dear to my heart, but the feels are different when you aren’t surrounded by Marines. Oooohrahh!

@pathoftruth Congrats on getting though it brother. My best piece of unsolicited advice is to leave it all behind. Don't carry it with you into civilian life because it will delay your transition.

I know too many devil dogs that have become isolated and depressed because they're hanging on too tight to the life they had while they were in.

Get a job ASAP. Stay away from the VA. Don't join vets groups. Keep PTing in the morning. Finally, dare I say, don't take the disability.
