@wonderhelm The only Twit show I currently listen to is This Week in Google, where the producer sometimes weighs in, but not very often. Personally, I don't mind it at all, in fact I appreciate it. Seems to me he only speaks up when he has something very worthwhile to say. So I must take an opposing view from you, but I can't speak to how it's done on the shows to which I don't listen, of course.

I really like This Week in Google. I learn so much from listening to that show.

Jeff Jarvis and Stacy Higginbotham often take opposing views on important subjects, which really helps shine a light on all sides of the debate. And @leo frequently sits somewhere in the middle adding his insight.

Also, @leo is funny as hell when he starts doing voices. 😆

@Pommster No, I don't - so I guess I have myself to blame. Because that one they did mention earlier, so I knew about it, but I didn't visit it because I was moping over the fact that they started that, rather than a Mastodon server. =)

Ah, Twit did what I was hoping they'd do, and started a Mastodon instance! This is great news! I just learned it from TWIG, I wish they would have metioned in on that show earlier though...

I've listened to This Week in Google for many years now. It started with This Week in Android, and Gina Tripani mentioned being on TWIG as well, so I followed her there.
