I am bothered a bit that optimized charging means I only have 88% charge after charging all night.

@Pictor It's the tradeoff of having a little less battery now so you get to charge these for more cycles. It's the reality of battery chemistry.

Ultimately, I guess it comes down to how much you use them in a day vs how many days you want to use them.

@aeiche yeah, in this case 88% was plenty, but what if I am off for a long hike tomorrow. I might want that 12%. I know the software has no way to know, and it’s playing a guessing game, and I am usually happy to let it guess, but it will bite me one day.
